Frequently asked questions
Everything about renting our apartment.
Getting there
Saint-Sorlin-d'Arves can be reached in several ways. By car you drive through France towards the Alps and then along the mountain roads to the village (snow chains or snow socks are compulsory unless you have 4 winter tyres with the snowflake symbol). From the Netherlands the journey is about 1,000 kilometres by car. You can also take the train to a station nearby, such as Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, and continue by bus or taxi. By air, the airports of Chambéry, Grenoble, Geneva and Lyon are options; from there you continue by road.
Parking
If you come by car, you can park right outside the door. Everything else is within walking distance or reachable by the free shuttle, so you won't need your car there.
Arrival
A week beforehand you'll receive the final information. On the day itself, we'll send you the key safe code as soon as the cleaning is finished, so you can go straight in. This will be by 5 pm at the latest, but usually a lot earlier. We just can't guarantee this in advance.
Departure
You leave on Saturday before 9 am. Please leave the apartment broom-clean and tidy: strip the beds, do the dishes and take out the rubbish.
Skis and boots
There is a locker next to the front door for skis and poles. Boots can be stored indoors on the boot dryer, so you have lovely dry, warm boots to start the next day.
Pets
Pets are not allowed.
Bed linen and towels
A linen pack will be ready for you, but please bring your own towels. All beds have single duvets.
